Letter - The type of a written correspondence containing a text or/and a document which is provided on a paper to be delivered in a sealed form, in an envelope.

Postcard - The type of a written correspondence which is a special printed form made of a thick firm paper or a cardboard designated for provision of a written text on it to be sent/delivered in an open form, without an envelope.

Small package - The type of a written correspondence containing both printed as well as handwritten material provided on a paper, documents and photos, and certain items, in case if their sending/receiving with the status of a small package does not conflict with the legislation of Georgia, the acts of Universal Post Union and the rules established by the recipient country or by Georgian Post.

Simple package – A post delivery item (a postcard, letter (including hybrid letters) and a small package) that, when handing them to the post office is not assigned an identification number is sent without being added/attached to the accompanying documents and is delivered to the addressee without a signature.
Registered package - A post delivery item (written correspondence (except postcards) and a parcel that, when they are handed to the post office, are registered and are assigned an identification number; they are sent added/attached to the accompanying documents and are delivered to the addressee through providing a relevant signature.
An insured package (with an announced price) – a registered letter, a small size package or a parcel which is sent with its contents insured at the cost declared by the sender. The cost of insurance declared/nominated by consumer/client should not exceed the real cost of the package contents; the declared amount should not be more than 10 000 GEL.
